I replaced an older Crucial M4, which went into my laptop, with this drive. Similar read speeds to the m4, but dramatically improved write speeds (>400 Mb/s). 5 stars easy. If you haven't upgraded to an SSD, even on an older machine, do yourself the favor. Easily the best upgrade to any machine, noticeable difference in almost every facet of computer use.

Works great in my 2012 MacBook Pro - purchased this and installed it myself rather than buy an SSD upgrade from Apple. All I needed was a #00 Phillips head screwdriver and a T6 Torx screwdriver. Was able to easily format the drive at startup and use Internet Recovery to install OS X. The computer starts in less than 10 seconds and apps launch instantaneously.

This SSD is everything they said it would be, setup was simple and I can definitely tell the difference between this and the Crucial M4 SSD it replaced even in just general use.
Programs are opening up before I can blink. Longevity? IDK yet, but it has a 5 year warranty!!
